Northern Rivers Community Gallery, a leader in the regional art sector, conceptualised the 'Ballina Contemporary Art Market' to bring the community together after a devastating weather event. The challenge was to design a graphic system that appealed to a broader audience beyond the typical art patron.
We developed a DIY-style acronym logomark and an approachable colour palette to engage the wider community. The website was simplified to highlight key artists, music acts, and submission details. Collaborating closely with the gallery coordinator, we ensured the design supported local artists, increased community involvement, and reinforced the importance of art culture in the Northern Rivers post-disaster.
“The way the logo sparks curiosity while delivering clear information aligns perfectly with our vision of contemporary art and broadening our audience in a fresh way.”
